How to upload wordpress to 000webhost www.preparationforexam.com

So you’ve decided to start blogging but haven’t the first idea of how to upload wordpress to your host, I had the exact same problem. no
mater where i looked on the internet every thing was fairly vague . i found a couple of good videos on youtube which helped quite a bit but they all seemed to miss bits out, so I’ve decide to post the way i used to upload to my host (i used “000webhost” which is an excellent free hosting service that iv never had any problems with, heres the link http://www.000webhost.com/585885.html)
just follow the next few steps and you should be up and running your blog site in no time!
1. Get a free hosting account from http://www.000webhost.com/585885.htm once there click on theorder now tab then add your details you’ll get the opportunity to ether use a fee subdomain from 000webhost or  you can use your own if you have one. the free subdomain works just like one you can buy but will have a random few letters added, if this doesn’t bother you just use that as its free!
2. If you use your own domain 000webhost will now give you a couple of name servers (they should look a bit like this NS31.000WEBHOST.COM
NS42.000WEBHOST.COM) to use with your domain, you will have to go to the website where you got your domain, sign in and go to your domain management screen and delete any other name server you have inputed in the boxes and input the two new ones you have got from 000webhost.
3. Usually you have to wait a couple of hours before your site will be up and running, keep checking by typing your in url into the go to address box in google until your page shows up, you should get a page that says that your site is now ready. it will also tell you to delete a file calleddefault.php, we’ll get to that later
4. Now that you have a hosting account you now need to download the latest edition of wordpress, make sure when you have downloaded the wordpress file it stays as a .zip folder. this is where i was having my main problem and it was all down to the macbook unzipping the folder all the time. just re-zip the entire folder if this happens and leave it on your desktop.
(theres been problems with the new version of wordpress uploading to 000webhost, I’m not to sure why but i have a link here that solves the problem. when you click on the link it will download you the wordpress file that works, once you have used this file and got your site up and running you can then update to the newest version of wordpress from your wordpress dashboard with no problems. the link is: wordpressthe link above in section 4 also works now)
5. Now go back and log in to your 000webhost account. from here you should see a list of domains, something like bellow. click on Go to CPanel
» Domain» Status» Action
futuredigital.coActive Go to CPanel
6. now you will hopefully have your CPanel up, this is where you do all the work for your host, it may look a bit daunting to start with but its fairly easy to get used to and with wordpress you will hardly use any of it. go to the  files section and chose  file manager as bellow:-
»  Files

View FTP Details

File Manager

Another File Manager

Disk Space Usage

Backups
7. you will now have your file manager open, this is where we come back to the deletion of the default.php. click on the public.html fileyou’ll then see the default.php filedelete this then click on the upload tab just above the files menu, this will bring up an uploading screen. click thechose file  tab on the right hand side bellow the part that says Archives (zip, tar, tgz, gz) and then find the wordpress .zip folder which should be in your desktop menu. once this is done you should see the file name next to the chose file tab that you pressed a second ago. Now click on the green tick on the left hand side of the screen, this can pause for a little while, be patient and it will then come up with a page with all the files listed, just click the blue arrow and then your all done downloading the files.
8. now go back to your CPanel in 000webhost and go to thesoftware/services section and click on MySQL as bellow:-
»  Software / Services

Website
Builder

New Website
Builder!

Fantastico Autoinstaller

MySQL

phpMyAdmin

View PHP Configuration
here you will make your new database which wordpress will use to store your blog information, add information in the boxes provide, so where it says add database name just add something rememberable, then do the same for the rest. make sure you make a note of all the details as wordpress will ask you to input these later
the details should look something like this
MySQL database name:
a3648349_
MySQL user name:
a3648349_
Password for MySQL user:

Enter password again:
you need to type in all the details in to wordpress late, i.e. with the MySQL database name you’ll enter - a3648349_name
once you have made note of the info click the create database tab and your all done there
9. We’re nearly done! hopefully so far all has been working fine. next type in your url (www.yourdomain.com) in to the go to address bar in google and hopefully a page from wordpress should pop up that says
There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file. I need this before we can get started.
Need more help? We got it.
You can create a wp-config.php file through a web interface, but this doesn’t work for all server setups. The safest way is to manually create the file.
click on the create a configuration file and follow the the next screen andpress lets go, this is where you will enter your MySQL name and database details which you should have noted down earlier from section 8, (if not just go back to your CPanel at 000webhost and click on the MySQL tab, at the bottom of the screen you should see a box with a list of current databases, here you will see the database name, host name and user name. hopefully you have remembered your password). don’t put anything in the table prefix box. after this has all been entered press thesubmit
10. This is the very last bit, the installation of wordpress to your host. from here-on wordpress goes through pretty much everything you need to do. i’ll go through it here as well just to help you out
run the install and you should get a  wordpress page that pops up withinformation needed,  just type in all the info like site title which is just what ever you fancy the title to be, doesn’t really mater what you call it here you can change it later but its probably best to call it the title of your web site just to make things easier later. the admin name can also be anything you like, just make it rememberable as this will be your login name for your wordpress site. then just click the install wordpress tab, and then wordpress will be installed,
wordpress will now ask you to enter your password and name which is the admin name you gave  a second ago, you should now be all set up to start using wordpress.
